. . .
prowling for some proof
tuesday took her time
heel to toe like traffic jams
walking down the line
holding her own hand
playing footsie with her eyes
all she needed was someone
to tell her she was fine
rainbow scoops to fill her up
to match the smile outside
she dreamed she was a woman
and kissed her self goodbye
pull the petals all at once
no one’s gonna mind
it’s what someone in love would do
instead of look for why
just pretend you have it
and it won’t be far behind
the magic in the missing
can make a tuesday blind

. . .
sunset like a cotton candy phoenix
in the middle of god’s mind
a dream of what happened tomorrow
or last week
all a blur of fantasy
a kaleidoscope of sky
let me climb into your windows
and sleep
rest my soul on yours
one more precious time
nerve endings fire like lightning
the threat of rain is high
take me to the edge of life
or death
driving with the knowledge
can’t kill us if you try
the tock ticks to your heartbeat
icy moments crystallized
melting into memories borrowed
or stolen
sink with the horizon
and exhale with a sigh
let me climb into your windows
and sleep
rest my soul on yours
one more precious time

. . .
you touch me and it hurts
like i’ve never loved before
you kiss me like the sun
melting to the core
music in our bones
a symphony of sweat
earthquakes ripple through me
this sinner’s best regret
i can feel your heartbeat
in between my legs
lips riding on the pulse
mouthing every beg
it wakes me up and takes me
to another scene
where devils polish halos
and angels fuck like kings
